Ever since the early days of The Salvation Army, music-making has been important to the organisation. For many members of the public, brass bands and choirs are the most recognisable feature of it.

Here in Canterbury, The Salvation Army has two brass bands and two choirs, one of each for adults and children respectively. Each group plays an important part in worshipping God on a Sunday; we believe that he is pleased by our efforts and we work hard to do as good a job as we can, hopefully blessing those who listen.

If you are interested in joining one of our groups or would like more information about them, please get in touch using the form below.

“I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.” Psalm 104:33

Canterbury Songsters

There has been a choir at The Salvation Army in Canterbury for over 100 years.

The Songsters brings music in a variety of styles to Sunday worship, holds concerts and visits other places in the community to sing. It aims to praise God through music, and bring the message of him to new audiences.

The group rehearses most Wednesday evenings during term-time. If you’d like to join us, get in touch – all are welcome.
